New World Makati Hotel welcomes new executive sous chef

Stefan Langenhan brings with him more than 30 years of culinary experience, most of which were spent in first class cruise ships and Michelin-starred restaurants in Germany

Chef Stefan Langenhan started working in Manila in 2008 where he was designated as executive chef and manager of Aubergine, one of the best fine dining restaurants in the Philippines over the years. His most recent stint meanwhile was in European Concepts, as group executive chef, where he took over operations in Sala, Sala Bistro, and Blackbird restaurants.

The German chef has been in the country for more than 10 years now, settling in with his Filipino wife and two children. “It is a great privilege to be part of New World Makati Hotel and I am looking forward to working with the [hotel’s] culinary team,” he says. 

As the executive sous chef, he will work closely and provide support to the hotel’s Western Banquet Kitchen and Café 1228. He will also be lending support to overall management of the culinary department.
