Missing the restaurant scene of Bonifacio Global City? Food business incubator Mercato Centrale, together with the Restaurant Owners of the Philippines and the City of Taguig, is launching an outdoor dine-in and takeout food market called High Streat. This will be located in Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater along 7th avenue and will be open on Oct. 17 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

RJ Ledesma, co-founder of Mercato Centrale, emphasizes that their advocacy has always been about supporting small food businesses by allowing them to grow their market in the challenging food industry. Due to the crisis, they had to close their original BGC location.

The team says they will be adhering to the health and safety protocols mandated by the government, including health forms, temperature checks and sanitation procedures and one-way foot traffic in the venue.

A portion of their earnings will be donated to Project Aral. This program from Save the Children Foundation will provide educational materials and alternative learning platforms to students from low income families.

Participating restaurants include Gallery by Chef Chele, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, The Mango Tree Manila, Brotzeit, El Chupacabra, The Alley by Vikings and Our Kitchen Café by Chef Laudico. You can also find some of the most popular Mercato merchants like Mamay’s Ihaw, Ngon Vietnames Deli, Chef Ian Sushi, Please’N Thank You Café and Conflict Kitchen.
