Instagram wants its users to show support to small businesses with the new Support Small Business sticker.
Users can use the sticker on their Instagram Stories to share with followers the photos and pages of their favorite micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The sticker aims to uplift MSMEs amid the pandemic by helping them gain potential customers and connections online.
A shared Instagram story among a user’s followers and following will appear once the story with the sticker is posted. Businesses mentioned in the sticker can also see and repost the story in their own profiles as well as thank the user who tagged them through a personal message. All user profiles, whether business or personal, can use it so fellow businesses can support one another.
This is part of Instagram’s COVID-19 resource directory, which also includes adding buttons like Gift Cards, Order Food and Donate on business profiles.
