MSMEs need data privacy training too. This group is conducting one

In the digital marketing age, even small businesses need to know about data privacy and protection.

The National Association of Data Protection Officers of the Philippines (NADPOP) is offering micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of the Bounce Back PH (BBPH) movement data privacy and protection training to help small business owners manage the personal information of their customers online and offline.

Aside from the training and certification programs, NADPOP will grant  scholarships to members who are unable to afford the training. There will be 100 recipients of the training scholarship worth at least P38,000 based on commercial rates. A discounted rate is offered to those who will not be selected for the scholarship grants.

Four classes of 25 participants each will be conducted after the selection process. After the course, a data privacy specialist certification valid for two years will be given to those who would pass the exam.

Successful participants will become part of a community of data privacy and protection practitioners, which the MSMEs can consult along the way. Those who want to reach NADPOP and BBPH regarding the program can send an email to privacy@nadpop.org.
