Despite the unwavering demand for food delivery, some platforms still face closure. Lalamove’s food delivery platform Lalafood announced that its last day of operations is on Feb. 15, Monday.
“While as a company we have learned a great deal from Lalafood, a decision has been made to redirect our focus entirely on our core Lalamove delivery business,” says the group.
Customers can still order via its mobile app or web ordering portal until Monday next week. On Feb. 16, Lalafood accounts will be deactivated along with unused coupons. All existing customer data will be removed properly in accordance with data privacy and security laws and regulations. The group encourages its customers to avail the delivery fee or food bill discount before it closes down.
Lalafood was established as a means for the core company to learn about the food sector and has partnered with big and small restaurants since 2018.
