Already an online seller but open to upping your game? You’re in luck.

Google and Lazada are giving free training to hone the digital skills of entrepreneurs and help their businesses grow. This collaboration between the two e-commerce platforms will provide educational resources for small retailers and address barriers to entry among online startups. The training courses cover business strategy and digital marketing.

Small businesses across Southeast Asia can access the free short courses by Lazada University on the Grow with Google site as well as new interactive mini courses via the Google Primer app. Lazada merchants can also access country-specific content directly on the Lazada University Portal. Sessions by Google experts are also live-streamed on the Lazada University site.

“We’ve committed to train three million SME [small and medium enterprise] workers in Southeast Asia on digital skills, and have already provided training to two million individuals. We’re excited to partner with Lazada as they share their expertise and help us extend our support to thousands of merchants on their platform,” says Google director Ben King.

The peak of the boarding season is expected soon with the approach of the holiday season. The partnership aims to train sellers within a short period as well as provide them opportunities for growth and expansion—just in time for many year-end shopping festivals.
